The story

Written from the middle
of the journey

I first traded futures in 1987 — coffee and sugar on behalf of ED&F Man, one of the most respected commodities trading houses in the United Kingdom. I understood price behaviour, market structure, risk, and the psychology of futures long before most of today's trading educators had opened their first chart.

Nearly four decades later, I made a deliberate decision to return to futures — this time trading the ES independently, through NinjaTrader, on prop firm accounts, as a retail trader starting from scratch in a completely new environment.

All that experience, and it was still the hardest thing I've done. The prop firm world, the technology, the psychology of trading your own account — it humbled me completely. And that, more than anything, is why this course exists.

Because if someone with a professional futures background from 1987 still found this genuinely difficult — still blew accounts, still overtrade, still fell into emotional traps — then the answer isn't more experience. It's the right methodology, executed with discipline, tracked with honesty.

That's what the 24 stages map out. Not a shortcut. A framework. Built from nearly 40 years of market understanding, filtered through the reality of what modern prop firm trading actually demands.

How it works

Six stages. Every gate earned.

This course teaches you three things — Price Action, The Freedom Signal, and the Setups. Those three components together produce a 92% win rate. Most trading education gives you one and calls it a system. This course gives you all three and shows you how they work together.

Each stage has a mastery gate — a standard you must demonstrate before the next stage unlocks. Your mentor reviews your evidence and makes the call. You cannot buy your way through. You cannot watch your way through. You earn it.

Foundation
Platform setup, NinjaTrader mastery, ATM strategies, order execution. You must be able to operate without thinking about mechanics during a live trade.

The first three setups are anchored to the New York session open at 09:30 ET. The remaining five are session-universal and work in any liquid futures market.

Freedom Money Trade (FMT)
The New York session opens at 09:30 ET. The 15-minute range forms immediately. At 09:45 ET the gate opens — not before. Price breaks the range, clears a pivot, pulls back to the midband. That pullback is your entry.

Continuation
The market has already left the 09:30 range and established direction. You step into a trend already running. Same logic as the Freedom Money Trade (FMT) — later in the session.

15 Minute Reversal
The breakout from the 09:30 range fails. Price comes back inside. You trade the rejection — the same family as the Freedom Money Trade (FMT), the opposite outcome.

Trendline
Price draws the line. Respects it twice. The third touch is your entry. The setup that gave the first profitable month — clean, structural, and patient.

Reversal
Strong rejection at exhaustion — double top, double bottom, false break. Trend line breaks. Indicators confirm. You trade the new direction on the first pullback.

False Reversal
The trend slows. Price attempts to reverse. That reversal fails — double cross of indicators confirms it. Price snaps back to the original trend. You trade the return.

50 FIB
Premium confluence — pivot, 80 SMA, larger SMA on the 1597 chart, all converging at the 50% Fibonacci level. The highest probability setup. The hardest to find.

Second Touch
The trend stalls and the range takes over — Keltner Channels go flat, the 80-line and midband lose their agreement. You wait for a double top or double bottom to confirm the range, then fade the outer band on the touch. No breakout chasing. A patient, high-precision play for when the market goes quiet.

What you need to know

Do I get access to real trading data, or just lessons?
Real data. Every student gets access to the Freedom Day Trader dashboard — the same one Javier and Iain use to track every trade. You see live win rates by setup, discipline scores, and month-by-month performance. Nothing here is a highlight reel. If a setup is underperforming this month, the dashboard shows that too.
What can I actually see in the dashboard?
Your own participation — which trades you took, whether you followed the rules, and how you performed — plus the aggregated team stats behind every number on this page (win rate, trades analysed, setup performance). You don't get raw access to the proprietary trade log, but you get more transparency than any indicator or course typically offers: real, current numbers, not a testimonial from six months ago.
What does The Freedom Signal actually do, and what does it not do?
It flags when a potential setup is forming on your chart — a precision prompt, not an autopilot. It does not read price action for you, and it does not replace judgment. Students learn to combine the signal with price action analysis and the setups; that combination is what the dashboard's win rate numbers reflect. Signal alone, without that training, will not produce the same results — and the pricing page is honest about that.
Do I need a funded account before starting?
No. You start in sim, learning to read price action and use the signal correctly before any real capital is on the line. The course walks you through evaluating and passing a prop firm assessment when you're ready.
Which prop firms does the course support?
The methodology works across any NinjaTrader-compatible prop firm. Past students have used Take Profit Trader, Tradeify, Bulenox, and others. You are not locked into any specific firm.
Is this relevant outside the US timezone?
Partially. Three of the eight setups are anchored to the New York session open at 09:30 ET. The other five are session-universal and work in any liquid futures market regardless of your timezone.
I've passed evaluations before but always fail once live. Is this course for me?
This is exactly who the course is built for. Passing an evaluation and surviving live trading are different skills — most courses only teach the first one. The dashboard exists partly because of this: it's built to catch the gap between "I know the setup" and "I actually followed it under pressure," which is where most funded traders quietly fail.
Why does the dashboard show real numbers instead of just marketing claims?
Because Javier and Iain use the same dashboard to run their own trading — it's not a demo built for the website. The win rates you see are computed live from the same trade log they review daily. If you want to verify a claim on this page, the data behind it is the same data they're looking at.
